Fire Control received a call from a neighbour who could see flames coming from a agricultural building in the above location this afternoon.
A fire engine was immediately mobilised from our Seaton fire station along with a further two fire engines from our Sidmouth fire station and a Water Carrier from our Exeter station at Danes Castle, were also mobilised.
On arrival crews confirmed that there was smoke and flames issuing.
Crews immediately requested a further pump which was mobilised from our Colyton station. They also requested the attendance of western power to isolate some overhead cables that were in the vicinity of the barn.
Crews then set to work with two main jets with four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. Crews were also using compressed air foam.

Crews have now confirmed this fire involved an agricultural building that was housing two vehicles along with other gardening machinery and tools. The building has been 75% destroyed by fire.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
